Ty’s Mechanical is the best HVAC contractor in Fridley Minnesota. They came out for an emergency no heat call. With in an hour they had the new part and had us up and running for heat. We highly recommend Tys Mechanical for any of your heating or cooling needs for residential HVAC. They were professional on time and very reliable. Thank you Ty’s Mechanical. Updated: he doesn’t respond, he doesn’t  ask for a review fix in those months, he sends me a text 6 months later that he is suing me and my work place for defamation if I don’t take down the negative review. Unprofessional.

I regrettably hired Ty’s Mechanical for an emergency HVAC repair at our office. On their first visit, they claimed to have addressed the problem by simply refilling the Freon, which cost us $950. To our dismay, that wasn’t the root cause. I gave them a second chance and requested a thorough inspection for an additional $400. Ty then identified a faulty TXV valve, charging us $2500 for its replacement. To our disappointment, even that did not rectify the issue. On their next assessment, they quoted us a staggering $16,300 for a new pump and additional parts.

In light of these growing concerns, I consulted another technician I trust. During their inspection, the tech said that the tube by the TXV valve had been kinked, compromising the system’s functionality. The intake TXV line also appeared mishandled. Once these issues were addressed, our AC resumed operation. However, due to the kink’s presence over a week, pressure accumulation led to a line rupture on the compressor.

The new technician efficiently repaired the pump, cleansed the entire system, and refilled the AC—all for $6500. Moreover, it was revealed that the TXV valve installed by Ty’s Mechanical was a generic variant, and needs another replacement as it may have been what caused the pressure to stay high.

I had initially approached Ty for a solution but ended up with exacerbated problems. I even have photographic evidence of the kinks and shoddy craftsmanship. When confronted and asked for a refund for the TXV valve and Freon charges (willingly overlooking the labor fees), Ty declined and denied any wrongdoing. Ty had the nerve to contact me after I requested a refund and offered me $13600 instead of the $16300 he quoted…

In summary, our experience with Ty’s Mechanical was costly, both in terms of finance and trust. I strongly advise potential customers to exercise caution and seek alternative service providers.

My AC unit quit on me during a recent heatwave. Ty was very responsive and came the next day. He was able to quickly get my old unit running again, but given it's age, I decided to have him replace it with a new unit to avoid future headaches. Ty his team did a fantastic job of meeting our A/C needs. They were timely to our commercial property, in fact they were able to take care of me a day before they scheduled. And they help me over the Labor Day which I was grateful!

Ty was able to come out to my house and get me a quote on Wednesday and get my AC installed two days later on Friday. I shopped around several places and he had both the best price and the best equipment. If you have any HVAC needs, I highly recommend Ty's Mechanical. Its been two weeks and the AC is feeling incredible.
